Shana Capps
Certified Birth, Postpartum, and Berevement Doula
Shana is a Middle Tennessee native, currently living in the quiet rural outskirts of Maury County in Williamsport. She’s a wife to her husband of twelve years, Joseph, and a homeschooling mother to three daughters, ages eleven, eight, and three. The oldest of six children, Shana’s nurturing spirit was shaped early on — she began nannying over eighteen years ago, and caring for others has been woven into her life ever since.
After the births of her own daughters, Shana felt a deep calling to birth work. She is now a certified Holistic Birth and Postpartum Doula and has supported well over 50 families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. It is her dream to one day train as a traditional midwife.
Shana currently focuses on overnight postpartum care — a tender, often-overlooked window of time when new parents most need rest and reassurance. Whether she’s sitting beside a mom nursing at 3 a.m., washing bottles or pump parts, folding laundry, or rocking a newborn so parents can sleep, she offers calm, capable, and compassionate presence. She knows that even the smallest act of care can mean everything in the early hours of parenthood.
Her approach is grounded in deep respect for each family’s unique story. Shana serves people from all walks of life, meeting them with warmth, support, and genuine connection. She believes that caring for new parents — especially the mother — creates ripples of well-being that extend throughout the whole family.
When she’s not working overnight (or catching up on sleep), Shana can be found homeschooling her girls, organizing something, or enjoying slow days outdoors on her family’s property, or thrifting with her husband — always with a good coffee in hand.
Shana desires to build a home and life rooted in simplicity, intention, and love.
